Guys, thanks for all the replies regarding the event.

Given the calendar timing, we could make this a cross country event headed towards Monterey.

LS,

If you haven't yet checked out their web site, you should: http://www.sorcrace.com/

Usually we try to arrive around noon on Wednesday and head for home on Sunday morning. Actually in 2010 I arrived at 8 AM Wednesday -- no working A/C so left home in the dark to stay cooler.

There is things like BBQ in the park that they put on for the folks. Thursday is tech day, Friday is car show and maybe dino, Saturday is the race ( which you are involved in from say 8am to 4pm ) and Saturday night is street dance and race results. Plus driver/navigator, and first time entries meetings. Not a lot of sites to see there -- the town is around 500 people.

Now comes Jim's bar --------- the place to reacquaint with people from past years and meet new people. There is bench racing, BS galore, and even a few sea stories.

I'm not sure how far it is to great shoping for the ladies.

Bud #3400
