OK, Nothing like reliving bad memories on a Tuesday

1. $450.00 ( Improper Lane Usage, "reduced from "Reckless Driving"
as "a favor" by the judge in a small town nearby ( he is now deceased,
so I'll be nice, some favor! )
The cop was an ass to charge me with that anyway.

Here's the story, I'm on the second day of shooting a National TV
commercial for Hardee's in 1995, we have one roll of film left and I
sent a PA to the airport to pick up the Delta Dash shipment of more
film from Kodak in Atlanta.
( Having a Director use 5,000 feet on the first day was NOT a part of
the plan...another story there...Ham Biscuits, the Opus )

So we are desperate, I have a crew of 30 people
and the last roll is in the camera, still no film,

panicked, I jump in my Jeep Cherokee to retrace his path to the
Airport and back if necessary...

about 4 miles from the location, ON THE OTHER side of the median, I see the SOB
at a 7-11 store.

I wait for traffic to clear and drive across the grass strip, pull
into the parking lot, jump out of my car and proceed to rip his heart
out verbally
, when up walks this cop, who I told to wait a minute ( BIG MISTAKE )

and sent the moron back to the set with the film.

That's when i got the Reckless driving ticket.

Only been "stopped" once in the Pantera, not really stopped, I saw him
pull onto the side street that I had just left a nice smokey burnout
on ( because I had a guest in the car ),
so I pulled over to his car, driver's door to driver's door.

He said "whatcha doin?"

I said,

uh uh, playing with my car on this industrial park road on a
Saturday afternoon and smiled sheepishly.

He said, you know this is a public highway.

I said, yep,

He said, what you're doing is called "laying Drag"

I said "really"

He said "Yup"

Then he said, aren't you the guy on TV on that Law show, I said "Yup"

then he said..."So you know better ... right?'

I said' Yes Sir"

He said.

"Have a nice day"

So I think the Pantera helped.
