Ive been looking at a lot of header designs lately...thus these questions
and ideas.
Why did some racers, GT-40s, use 180 headers and McClarens & Lolas (even
with Ford engines) not.
There was room for either type.
I think a regular style set up would work well on a Pantera if you wanted to
go the over the transaxle route.
You'd have the longer tubes. Equal length tubes and construction may be
easier. A cross over pipe would
be possible as well as more muffler choices. I think the equal length tubes
would be more valuable than
the 180 design. It would sound different too with the tips right next to
each other.
And it would still look cool, which like carbon fiber parts on most cars is
the whole point anyway.
