Great answers! Makes sense about drag racing applications vs. the Pantera and hard braking w/ fuel spillage. Nope can't say that I have lifted the front end off but have a healthy enough engine to have some lift on the front, but probably not enough to worry about. 
 
So I assume milling the stock intake does not cause interference issues from any of the linkage? Thanks for the info from all.

you will have some degree of front end lift and rear squat under hard acceleration, and drag cars or cars with the suspension set up for sheer acceleration will have a great deal more.  Intakes generally have the carb pad angled to compensate for that to some degree.  But how much lift do you see in a Pantera even under hard acceleration?  Probably not much.  Most driving in a Pantera is done with the carb sitting at the same basic angle.  I think you would want the carb to sit level for the most part to aid in fine tuning the float level etc.  All cars will experience fuel slosh under acceleration and deceleration but there are other methods of dealing with that.  I do have the angled spacer on currently, but am in the process of removing my airgap intake to mill the carb pad flat so I can level the carb without it, and to gain a small amount of clearance so I can put my engine cover back on.

According to Moroso below, the idea IS to have the carb tilted forward, not leveled. If our carbs in the stock Pantera setups are already tilted forward, why level them, or am I misinterpreting something here? Is the stock angle in the Pantera too much? By milling the original intake to level the carb, are we defeating the purpose of the hard acceleration and front end lift?

To keep carburetor float-bowls “level” during acceleration, some amount of mounted carburetor angle is necessary Moroso’s wedge plate tilts the carburetor forward 5° to provide the optimum angle during quick acceleration and front-end lift

If you mean an angled carb spacer, Moroso makes one-I have it.  Just call one of the performance warehouses and have them look in the Moroso catalog.  I think I got mine from Summit-it's a 6* angle and was about $26 iirc.

Or, you can just buy an angled spacer.   Mikael Hass just bought one of 
those, I think?   From Summit.   I just searched and couldn't find it 
though--I'm searching with the wrong search terms. :<(
