[DeTomaso] NPC: Anti Photo License Plate Covers

Unless the camera is sensitive to IR only I don't see it working for faces
or plates.

I was reading about a ball cap that had LED lights in the brim and it
flooded your face with the IR light. When you took a photo of this guy you
just saw white light blocking his face. Why not license plates?

This one works very well.

I had it installed for about 5 yrs and blew through many camera and toll
booths all over the continent. I only had one camera catch the plate during
that time.

I finally got pulled over by a cop in another country who confiscated it. I
haven't gotten around to ordering another one since I take public transport
most of the time.

Definitely check on legality in your area before you purchase.

Every objective test I've seen of these things determines that they are a
hoax.   Even Mythbusters busted them. 

I think technically it's illegal to cover your plate in most states, so it
also invites a fix-it ticket even if you're not doing anything wrong.

I'd just pay the toll. :>)
