[DeTomaso] Pantera Lust

Not sure I should share this, it's so embarrassing. But why not, we're all family...

My first car was a Spitfire, and one evening I was parked in the woods with my girlfriend, when a policeman on a bike approached us on this normally deserted road. Don't ask for details, but we were not entirely in our seats in there, and when we very quickly wanted to be in our seats to address the nearing policeman in an innocent fashion, we happened to land in the opposite seat than normal. So my girlfriend was at the steering wheel. That was not good, because the policeman asked for her license and since she was not old enough to drive, we had to explain, how we had accidently switched seats. Well, with a good story to tell his colleagues later, the policeman saw no reason to charge her for driving without a license. He drove off, we switched seats and I drove the car to find another spot :-)

Yes, embarrassing owning a Spitfire, I know...

Mikael

Only in America.

Over here the officer would not have bothered with the teenagers, unless they were under age of course.

And officers are known to show thumbs up when they are working at an accident scene while a convoy of De Tomasos pass by :)
