[DeTomaso] This weekend's PCNC event

Oddly enough, the last time I was at Pattrick Ottis's shop I drove the Pantera,
it was about ten years ago.  He was very helpful to me before that when I was in
the market for a Ferrari.

If I had access to the Pantera, registration, insurance, etc., I'd certainly
take it.  I get the arguments against but it's an opportunity to "show the
flag", prove the club car hasn't jumped the shark.

But I digress, I'd like to avoid driving to Berkeley, anyone driving from the
South Bay ... Melton?  Benson?

Thanks,

GD

Ummm, with the resurrection of the now improved stroker engine and
the return of the long restored Drew Pantera to the roads and
highways...............*why* might you take the Scirocco?????

>>>Because I just resurrected my silver Scirocco which is also a ton of fun.

Plus, the tour basically goes through gritty industrial parts of Oakland and
Emeryville--not exactly prime-time driving to be had there.  The fun is in the
fellowship, and the shops we'll be visiting.  But the Pantera is superfluous on
such an outing.

I drove the Pantera both days this past weekend to Sears Point, much of it via
back roads, and took another drive the other day, giving a ride to a would-be
owner for about an hour, again on beautiful back roads.  So it *is* getting
used. :>)
