There are other issues too.   My Cobra has E-type suspension, including 
inboard rear brakes.   The U-joints take a hell of a beating in both 
directions, instead of only under power.   Brake cooling is marginal (especially with 
solid rotors).   A LOT of heat gets transmitted directly into the gearbox, 
which plays hell with seals etc.

For a Pantera, it's just a spectacularly dumb idea IMHO.   I don't know of 
a single person who elected to get them for himself, and I don't know if Ted 
has ever advanced beyond the mockup stage with his design.

It's an answer to a question nobody ever asked--and if you did buy it, it's 
expensive as hell too!
