[DeTomaso] Distributorless Ignition

Gary,

As far as I know, no one makes an oil pump drive for a 351C.

Price Motorsport ( http://www.pricemotorsport.com/ ) has a cam
synchronizer/oil pump drive for the 351C that uses OEM Ford signal generator
units; either Hall Effect or VR. It's essentially a 351C/351W version of the
302 Explorer cam synchronizer and is machined from billet aluminum.

Mallory now has an oil pump drive/signal generator for the 351W (part #
77207D) that generates both cam and crank sync signals and can be used in a
351C by swapping the 351W dist. gear for a 351C dist. gear.

Julian is correct in that MSD used to make cam sync oil pump drives for the
351C and 351W; however, they were designed to work with an ignition control
unit that MSD was selling at the time. The signal generator was a
proprietary unit and as such the signal it generated was a bit unusual and
some EFI ECU's didn't work properly with it. That being said, I know a few
people who use the MSD units with Electromotive ECU's without any problems.
