A no-sale at that price kind of surprises me a little.

Bidding up to that gavel price (plus commission) indicates rising prices.

I was watching the Mecum auction from Kissimmee, FL last night  and saw a 
'72 french blue Pantera go through, it was a no sale at  $52,500.  Nice 
original car with 18000 miles.
