[DeTomaso] Things to do while the engine is out?

These were great pictures. I'm wondering if a thorough treatment of the
phosphoric acid flushing down from inside the top horizontal bracing
channel followed by a similar usage of POR15 would take care of the problem
if it was still solid metal? You could use one of those flexible
undercoating wands and a few well placed holes to saturate the inside of
the top channel enough that it would soak down between the panels. You'd
need some drain holes at the bottom as well. Probably not as thorough as
cutting off the inner layer like Dan did but a whole lot easier. Any
thoughts?
