I think it is important to understand what the role of newspapers,
magazines and television networks truly has become...to to ensure a healthy
dividend for stockholders. The concept of the wholesomeness and public
service of the fourth estate has gone the way of the Edsel.

To that end they do their best to keep things stirred up, when there is no
news, they create it, from "Remember the Maine" through today's no talent,
media created sensations like celebrated ho's Paris Hilton or Kim
Kardashian.

Everything is done to attract readers and viewers, so that more can be
charged per eyeball for those who read and watch. If that means BS shows
like "Entertainment Tonight" which is owned by the same studio that has
it's movies promoted on the show, to endorsing the weakest candidate for
Mayor, Governor, Congress or President.

Their only concern is to keep you coming back for more.
