Dear Michael,
Unfortunately I wrote to you before I had a chance to read your "good
spirited " and funny reply. I was serious when I said don't take any of it
personally. I have invested in Canadian oil trusts that are only engaged
in the Oil Sand business. I am not against using oil sands or "Tar Oil" as
some people call it. I wish we could go to Iraq and take all the oil to
repay us for the money we spent on that war and to compensate the families
of the servicemen and women who lost their lives their. Unfortunately
that's not going to happen. I am also in favor of exploring the gulf for
oil. I resent foreign companies like "BP" taking oil from our back yard and
making a mess in the process. I just think it is very important to exercise
extreme caution while developing these new resources . Extreme deep water
drilling is a new area and needs to be done with EXTREME caution, Fracking
appears to be endangering our ground water ( if you think an oil shortage
causes problems you have never experienced a water shortage! ( with no oil
you can't drive, with no water you can't LIVE!) These huge multi national
corporations who pretend to have our (the USA's) best interest at heart are
full of excrement (or sand oil) They are the same ones who are the first to
run to China, Brazil , India or anywhere else they can export US jobs and
pay workers a few dollars a day with no benefits .(and then to top it off
pat no US income taxes!! Exxon made 10 billion in one quarter last year and
paid ZERO income tax ! This was due to tax credits granted years ago but it
still burns my ass today and every day I fill my Pantera or any of my other
cars.

And if you think I am a liberal, socialist just Google Gen Hugh J. Casey,
or Major Hugh Boyd Casey and you will see a small part of what my family
background is. I am proud to be an Independent and I am exactly what the
definition of independent means. I don't need the republican party or the
Democratic party to tell me what to think , what to believe, or how to vote
or act. I am for most an Independent thinker. I believe our country
desperately needs more independents voting or thinking along party lines is
for morons that are incapable of thinking for themselves and results in the
debacle we had in congress this year. Just my humble opinion
