The bottles of silicone fluid I have from 2 different manufacturers say DOT 5. I'm pretty sure it's the 5.1 which is the newer, expensive, non-silicone fluid.

ccording to the Red Owners Manual (Ls & newer), SAE J 1703, or AGIP F-1
uper HD. According to the Blue Manual (pre-Ls), SAE 70 R3-J 70 B. Note that
he Pantera predates the current SAE "DOT" rating system, so feel free to
pgrade to the 21st century.
OT 3 often works better than more expensive DOT-4 but will attract and
old atmospheric moisture faster. So one simply changes it more often,
epending on your local conditions. There is a mineral based DOT 5.0 that is
afe to
se but is far more expensive for few street benefits. The only caveats are
O SILICONE, which is SAE DOT 5.1 and NO Castrol vegetable-oil-based
luids. Good luck- J DeRyke (who uses DOT-3)
