[DeTomaso] a road trip

I don't think the NASCAR/Indy reference works. They need to relax their
driving muscles (brains, arms, legs, eyes, etc.).

I do computer work for a living. I am not a computer nerd. When I leave
work, the last thing I want to think of is playing on a computer.

Besides, after driving for hours on a race track, they're probably dangerous
on the road. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. After leaving the
go kart track, I have this strong urge to spin slow drivers out. Can you
imagine driving down a crowded road with Dale Earnhardt behind you? (I
know, he is no longer with us, but he personified aggressive driving.)

I agree, though, that it isn't fun to drive 2400 miles on the Interstate in
a boring car. That's why I always seek the highways. It isn't much slower,
but it's a LOT more enjoyable.

While I think this subject has about run it's course, I would add that
"Grand Touring" is one thing, 4 separate 600 mile days of driving to/from
reaching a destination where additional driving is the entertainment is not
by any definition "Grand Touring"

It is simply a means to get there. By this same insane reasoning, all
NASCAR, INDY and F! drivers should leave their jets at home and drive to
every racetrack.
