The stock tanks are well past their prime by now, in most cases.   All the 
vendors sell polished stainless steel replacements, which vary in detail and 
price.   Dennis Quella sells aluminum tanks which are lighter and more 
expensive (would you ever notice the difference in weight?   I doubt it!)

I got my tanks from Hall back in 1992 and they are like new today.   They 
are immortal.
