[DeTomaso] Why support the registry?

As they say "You hit the nail on the head!" It was quite a few years ago
so it's water (or Money) under the bridge! But I learned a valuable lesson
and I wanted to share it with my Pantera brothers. This Landcruiser was a
"good deal" so I was a little concerned that it might have been e salvage
or been in a serious wreck ( this was before carfax) I went so far as to
pay a Toyota dealer to give it a serious going over and it came up clean. I
never suspected it could be a stolen car. Since Panteras and many other
collectible cars don't have 17 digit vin #'s and can't be car faxed (
which is not fool proof either) I wanted to make the list aware of some of
the pitfalls and the importance of doing due diligence.
Thanks for you condolences.
