[DeTomaso] Xenon light project finished

I think that is about right on pricing for Kirk's, but be aware he has two versions now, the only ones I see on his website are the 90mm sets. The 60mm are lower profile still and I thought they would work better on the GT5, that said I have the 90mm version on my 74. You need to cut your existing buckets for fitment, which daunts some people, but with care and preparation it can be done with the buckets still mounted on the car. For the GT5 in my case it was bit more challenging as the existing Vader 1 lights had more of the bucket cutaway than the new lights required.
For those registered on the PI forum, there is a good discussion thread with photos of all the offerings (Amerisport, Vader, SACC restorations) and pricing varies quite a bit. Personally I prefer Kirk's offerings and his products are always first class when it comes to construction.

FWIW I finished the light upgrade on the GT5 a couple weeks back, switching from the old Vader 1 (rectangular headlights) to a set of Kirk Evans (Amerisport) super low profile quad eyes. They use the newer Hella 60mm lights units compared to his standard offering of the std 90mm units. He offers the housings for these in an oval (which I opted for) or a round cut out for the light.
The drive to Monterey was my first night outing after having set them up (thanks again Larry Finch for the link on setting 4 light headlights) and light output is far better than expected for such a small light unit and much improved on the older Vader 1 units.
