[DeTomaso] Removing ANSA resonator tips?

various borescopes can be purchased cheaply these days that are too big to pass thru a sparkplug hole but would work for this. I have one and when I get back in town I'll do "car colonoscopy" on my original Ansa mufflers to see what's in there. My working assumption has been that most of the "innards" have rotten and blown out the rear. :-)

I just reread your post and now I see what you are planning to do. Thanks.
And, yes, it would have been an easier fix with the cans opened. But
still not easy because the muffler chrome tips are welded to the can
right where the perforated pipe comes thru the can.

hole saw to 12" is to cut the rearward weld out and open up that exit for better
flow. It would be better if the exhaust tip's diameter didn't decrease at that
point.
