If not, the possibilities are limitless

My gut says, satin black metal with brushed silver trim and bezels with
white faces and orange needles

that would stand out and look very aircraft.

or go retro and use

a car painted color ( bronze ), chrome bezels and a slightly beige face
like an Dusesenberg or aircraft racer like those Howard Hughes flew.

I'd honestly look at watch catalogs, esp. Breitling and Ball
