[DeTomaso] Dist gear material

Mikael, FWIW, Jon Kaase "Mr Engine-Master" & pro engine builder recommends 
taking any CAM that will need an aftermarket distributor gear and dressing 
the top edges of each cam tooth with a Scotchbrite pad or other mild abrasive 
tool. You're not supposed to be removing much metal- only smoothing the 
tops of all the gear teeth so the softer distributor gear perfectly matches as 
it enters and exits each cam tooth. Kaase says this simple mod can double 
gear life no matter what gear is used. It's not a replacement for a bronze 
gear but he says it does lessen the maintenence required. I intend to do this.
