Right. In '65, almost all U.S cars had single circuit master cylinders. 
This was changed via a federal law for 1966 to dual cylinders with no direct 
hydraulic interconnections, so a minor crash that maybe ripped one hose 
couldn't take out all the brakes. FWIW- J DeRyke
