I took mine to a local place that builds race stock cars (or something like that) any way it took them about two hours, and I think about $150/$175? I thought it was fair since I don't have the tools or the know how! Hey it worked for me!

Good Luck
Curt

You're into one of the most miserable jobs on a Pantera and there are 16 to
do. The washer ends are pressed on to some bushings, then staked, so a firm
hit with a chisel will often knock that washer off. Others seem integral to
the bucking and theres no way to tell which is which. As you may have
found, the old rubber presses out of the steel sleeves pretty easily; to make the
job simpler, one vendor used to offer polyurethane bushings that fit the
remaining steel sleeves. So they need not be removed at all. Dunno if they're
still available.
There is no good way to remove the sleeves: if you were going into the
business, a clamp-jig could be made up. Some slice through them on one side with
a jab-saw but it takes superhuman skill to split the sleeve without also
scarring the a-arm recepticle. I have no doubt that a cutting torch could also
be used, or a milling machine, but I'm content to do as you're doing now
with the press. If you crack an arm, they are mild steel and can be
straightened & rewelded without incident. Good luck- J Deryke
