[DeTomaso] squeal

Belts should have 1/2" of play in the middle of the longest leg of the
triangle. When pushed down.  If you have overheated and sprayed the belts
with antifreeze, they will always be more suspectible to squealing.  You
should always carry spares anyway, but I replace mine about every 2-3 years
anyway, they're cheap and my garage is a hell of a lot more fun than the
side of the road.
