[DeTomaso] heater/AC blower design? (also the fresh air vent)

Rob (and anyone else with an answer),

Does it appear that the fresh air vent was deleted and they no-oped off the top half of the core?

Does anyone have sketches/photos of the fresh air vent?  Does it rely on high pressure at the base of the windshield?  Does it do much?

Ken

I did the same thing in the Spring and noticed that the fan primarily pushed air the bottom coils.
On my '71, though, the top of the heater box has the fresh air vent which flowed through the top coils.
