Good luck, Barry. Know that most rebuilds only clean up crud and replace
the square o-ring, and maybe the dust boot for each bore (available from some
vendors as a kit). But some leaks come not from a bad o-ring but from
pitting of the pistons that may also tear o-rings. For reasons that escape me, all
Euro calipers thru at least 1990 use chrome or nickel-plated mild steel
caliper pistons. This includes all Girlings, Cobra and most Porsche calipers.
And like old bumpers, plated steel will rust if water is present- which it is
in most brake systems. The only fix for this is replacing the pitted
piston.
