True.

This is something that appears to have changed in later years, like the 
last 35 years or so :)

All my old box wrenches are 12 point, and my old 1/2" sockets are also 
12 point, but most newer tools appear to be 6 point. I guess the quality 
of the modern tools is so useless that they need to be beefier. :(
