Yes, that's true.   The silver '73 GTS that was on display in the factory 
museum for years had black rivets, but all the others I've seen with original 
paint, had natural-finish rivets, same as the USA GTS cars.

The majority of Euro GTS cars I've seen were built without the flares, 
FWIW....
