Let's look at some stats on doug sedon, shall we?
Since he doesn't bother to capitalize his name, neither will I. I
already know he's well versed in the American language but that he
refuses to use it. You never really know which keys he'll press in
order to complete a word or how he'll construct a sentence. To me, it
simply shows a low level of intellect when trying to engage in civil
discourse.
The following stats only go back to January of 2005. I stopped at
that point because I think sufficient statistical facts had been
gathered.
Since January of 2005 doug sedon has posted a total of 163 times to
date. Of those, 52 might be considered Pantera related. That's less
than one-third of all his postings, were Pantera related.
Of the 52, there were many that were more political in context with
very limited genuine Pantera conversational response. There were very
few in fact, that began as a Pantera question or direct response to a
Pantera question. Anything that was "car related without politics"
regardless of Pantera content also fell into this category. So the 52
number is subjective and fuzzy but I tried to err on the side of
automotive related, without politics.
The remaining 111 postings from doug sedon to date began as, or were
direct politically motivated responses to, (in most cases) a
legitimate quip about government and or business regulation or some
other position based more in politics than in automobiles.
i.e. a complaint about gas taxes as a quip turns into a
multi-email thread about oil companies, government regulation, how
we're all getting screwed by the Republicans, yadda-yadda-yadda,
blah-blah-blah... and on it goes.
The last time doug sedon had posted prior to this most recent string
of 14 politically motivated emails, was in May of 2010. For 15 months
we've been doug sedon communist free and ya'll just spun his ass up
again.
doug sedon is all about posting political discourse. Right or wrong
he likes to stir the pot. Yup, somethings he says we agree on, others
we don't. He says there are many people who have emailed him off-line
to agree with him, and there are many who post on-line who don't. Fine.
My point is, he's out for the political agenda, these are postings
that have absolutely no Pantera content, no automotive related content
(unless it's defending the UAW and bashing the corporations).
- April 2005, 19 of 22 posts were political in nature
- November 2005, 30 of 32 posts were political in nature
- Between Dec 05 and Mar 08, doug sedon posted about 40 times, again
only about one third were actually Pantera or DeTomaso related.
- From April 2008 until May of 2010, there wasn't one posting from
doug sedon that was Pantera related. That's nearly two years of
silence, no Pantera or car content. In the same period of time he did
manage to make eight political statements that were not necessarily
car related.
Is anyone else seeing a pattern here?
Sure, we've all made a political comment here and there, even I have.
However, I decided a while back to simply stop responding to these
kinds of things in public as it seriously detracted from what I
thought was the primary purpose of the forum and in many cases just
started pissing off more people. I've held off on this one until now.
doug, STFU!
... and no, I don't really care if I -did- piss off doug sedon.
