What people don't realize is companies have been leaving this country like
crazy but it's not about buying goods over seas. As the companies have
gone so has the prosperity and the market. America is being left in the
dust on BOTH accounts.

The Unions hammered Whirlpool. They left this town a couple years ago.
Once a union sinks it's teeth into a corporation the relationship between
corporation and employer is never the same again; and neither is the
corporation.

Ironically, CEO salary is always cited yet is a totally different issue. I
see CEO's get into positions at companies and hoard money their direction
and protect the top gender but I have a solution.

The solution is not more socialism which creates more divides, more
corruption and more complicity driving more industry out of the country.

First one must identify the problem. If you own a company would you know
what the person who runs your company makes? Of course you would. In this
day and age we own stocks in 401k's and personal portfolios. Diversity for
stability. How many companies are in your portfolio? 100? 1000? Do you
know what ANY of the CEO's and upper management make? Generally no nor
does any one else. It would be unlikely you could even name 1% of them by
name.

Which means company owners really have no avenue to control CEO or upper
management pay.

My solution (and I generally hate more regulation) is to require companies
to rated and organized by CEO pay and compensation. This information would
be required to be given before you purchase stock or mutual funds.

Now, when you go to your company retirement meeting and they say "Chose
your 401K based on tech stocks, service, a percent of this, that, etc".
Now you would also have a choice to by stock/mutual funds by the rated CEO
pay.

Would you buy stock in companies where CEO's make the upper 10%? no. The
lower 25%? No.....When these companies find that they are suddenly not
desirable for retirement portfolios companies will have to take a good
hard look at CEO pay and capitalism would bring it into balance.
