Des is a Kiwi who now lives in England. Most of his titles cover British
vehicles (Rover V8's, Minis, SU carbs, etc.). I have his Rover V8 book.
The production variations section of his Rover V8 book is very good but I
get the idea that most of the technical information is gleaned from interviews
with engine builders, not first hand knowledge. As such, there are some
errors in the book. I'll wager he has very little experience with the 351C
and gets most of his info from interviews with Australian engine builders.
It'll be interesting to see if any of his data is pulled from internet
postings.

Barry Rabotnick mentioned he was working on a 351C book. Barry is an
FE big block specialist and his FE book is excellent (as is Jay Browns)
but he's not that experienced with Cleveland V8s but his publisher
contacted him about doing a 351C book to fill a void. Barry posted on
the 335 Series Engine Forum looking for 351C info. I have most (if not
all) of the information he was looking for and contacted him but never
heard anything back. Not sure but he might have been concerned he might
have to split royalties with me as I had drafts of sections already
written.
