The presenter for the first Top Gear series, Quentin Willson, was/is a 
total douchebag.   In his review of the car, he fails to mention that his ego 
and incompetence caused him to completely DESTROY the car on the racetrack!   
He drove it right into the wall at high speed, then bounced over and hit the 
other wall.   All four corners of the car were wrecked, roof tweaked, 
chassis twisted like a pretzel, and it was effectively totaled!

The BBC was quite embarrassed about it, and paid the then-unheard-of cost 
of over 50,000 GP pounds to restore the car--substantially more than it was 
worth at the time.   The restoration shop did an excellent job of it and 
today you'd never know it had even been scratched, much less written off.
