What's wrong with silicone?

Some of my favorite things are made of silicone.

I don't like ArmorAll, though.  I sprayed it on the dash of my 84 Mustang,
and it left a permanent stain.

I used ArmorAll on my cars until things started drying and cracking 
(Dash, tires, door panels, etc.).  I then switched to Meguires.  I 
pretty much use their products exclusively now and have been pleased.
