THe possibility of coil overheating, case rupture and oil dripping along with total coil failure is why many of us switched to an e-coil that looks like a transformer, has no oil and does not overheat and fail. They are a little more expensive than the can-of-oil coils. E-coils can be used with Duraspark, MSD and points ignitions. Good luck- J Deryke
