[DeTomaso] Travel advice requested for San Fran area - NPC

All,

One of the young ladies and her best friend left Dallas to visit San Francisco for a few days this morning. They are staying at a hotel downtown.  Both are in their mid-20's. 


I suggested they visit China Town, the wharf, Sausalito, etc.  They are looking for some really good restaurant suggestions.  They like lots of different foods, but want to get some local flavor (no Cheesecake Factory, etc.) but also safe.  They are only getting a rental car one day, so any locales downtown or when the go to Sausalito. Any quick suggestions?
