Not just in racing but on the street, the Pantera chassis is arguably one 
of the most survivable ever made. If you can find them, call up the remains 
of Art Steven's horrific crash a few years ago, in which he only received a 
cracked wrist. There have been others but very few deaths. IMHO, ANY 
vigorously-driven Pantera needs a couple of additions: a good brand of 3" wide seat 
belt incorporating a 5-point harness, and a 2 lb (minimum) halon fire 
extinguisher in a metal bracket, close at hand. For racing, the particular series 
you want to go play in may have more stuff for you to add in their Tech 
Regulations, but belts & an extinguisher will very likely keep you safe on the 
far more dangerous public streets & highways. My 2¢- J DeRyke
