****My 72 had a rather firm clutch effort when I bought it. At some point I
changed the clutch type - someone like Mike could no doubt tell us if it was
a diaphragm type or 3-finger or what... but the clutch effort was reduced
dramatically in the same car by changing style of clutch.

Message- the clutch effort reduction linkage helps reduce feel. Clutch type
does as well.
