[DeTomaso] Electromotive Ignition System

Michael,

The TEC-3 is an EFI ECU that several of the guys are using. The XDI is the ignition system and looks like around $1,000.  You might want to call Electromotive to see if there is any reason to use the TEC-3 if you're not going with EFI.

The Electromotive systems are (or at least use to be) waste fire systems and several have modified them to a coil on plug system and I guess there are advantages, but it's not inexpensive.  If you're starting out, it might be worth seeing if there are any advantages to coil on plug, and what systems are out there.

TEC-3, the guy at the dealer I'm using said he recently sold his 800hp Pantera, so he has some experience with our cars.

and the price is cheaper than the MSRP.

He's in Birmingham, AL, offered to install it as well and set it up for $500,

He siad it's an all day thing to get it installed and dialed in.

Are you looking at the TEC-3 or the XDI?  The XDI is just the ignition and is a lot cheaper.
