Plus...

Drain and flush out fuel tank
Replace fuel lines
Install external fuel filter
Buy a big fire extinguisher

I also like to have a quick battery disconnect to keep the new smoke out of
the car.

OK, here goes this week's question/task.

You have bought a 1971 Pantera, it's a barn find with 34,678 miles and you
have $30,000 to spend.
It needs paint and tires for sure, the cleveland has been sitting for 10
years, it ran when it was parked.
The car is totally stock. The body is sound, there is no rust.
Your goal is a weekend toy, not a track car or a race car and not a show
car.
You have to show the expense of your change and allow 55.00 and hour for
outside labor.
No change for storage, tools or your own labor.
It has been towed to your house on a flatbed.
The checkbook has been placed in your hands.

Get to work.

I'll start.

New Battery $100.00
Oil Change Supplies $40.00
ZF Oil Change Supplies $40.00
Brake Flush $30.00
Radiator Flush and Fill $30.00
Steam Pressure Wash

The tires are holding air, so I'm going to leave them on
until much later in the process when I switch to 17's
so I'll put aside $3,500 for new Tires and Wheels in the future.

Deck Lid Struts $100.00

I'm going to try and start it now and see what I have to work with.
