[DeTomaso] When was this car built?

While this car has the L model front turn signal pods, it has numerous '71 features
such as the:

Vertical pleat seats...

It has the two-pod pre-L dash. The early (USA) 1971's received a center dash vent
(between the other two) as part of the Ford recall work. By later in 1971 this center
vent was no longer installed. It does have the center defroster vent. It does not have
the map light / small gauge light that most of the L model cars with the pre-L dash have.

It does not have the "Pull For Fresh Air" knob near the radio. This feature also went
away in later '71.

I'll let Mike Drew touch on the spare Campy wheels with their (much later) flat-topped
pentagon.

It does not have the earlier '71 center support for the headlight bar (see front trunk).

The brake master has been replaced, so this won't help date the build to either mid or
late '71.

The rear bumpers are the "Pre-L Flat-Wrap" variant, which was phased out in late Feb 1972.

The close up photo of the front valiance shows what might be an extra layer welded
together, perhaps this is when/how the car received the L turn pods.

She wears what appears to be, a flat deck lid.

The gas filler is the earlier type.

It has the non-nickel coated water tank.

I'd say this is a late '71 (October) to early '72 build.
