Note to self:  Replace the lights in the bedroom with LEDs.  I need all the
help I can get.

No, the LED's color needs to match the color of the Lens for optimal effect.
Otherwise, light output through the lens will be diminished. Matching LED
color to lens has an impressive effect.  Essentially, white bulbs wash out
the color of the lens.  Red looks orange and yellow looks, well, less so.
With the colored LEDs the lens color is deep.  My wife, who is not a car
person, points out that the incandescent bulbs make the lens on my Pantera
look old and the LEDs make them look new.

  The actual LED lamps are all white, correct?  That is, the colors that are
seen when the units are assembled on the car are solely by virtue of the
colored lenses, not the actual color of the corresponding LEDs?
