[DeTomaso] E brake upgrade?

When stopping on an incline, until I was able to get the  e-brake adjusted 
properly, my solution was to keep a foot long piece of 2x4  behind the 
drivers seat, come to a stop, open the door and place the 2x4 on the  ground, let 
the car roll either way until it hits the 2x4, then pull on the  e-brake 
handle as hard as possible.  Car never moved.  The interesting  part was 
starting the car and moving it on the incline the correct distance to  open the 
door and retrieve the 2x4.
