[DeTomaso] 4 bolt ZF?

As many have mentioned, the 'dash-zero' GT-40 and 'dash-1' of the Mangusta 
were different than the 'dash-2 of the Pantera in many ways. There was also 
a transition   'dash-1-1/2' version according to the authority- Lloyd 
Butfoy- that was used in some early '71 Panteras, and consisted of a 
Mangusta/GT-40 gearbox with an upside-down differential case to adapt it to the Pantera. 
All these 'non-dash-2' diff cases used only 4 bolts between the bellhousing 
and diff case, with no allen bolts through from the inside. This case, 
besides what's been mentioned so far, was also several pounds lighter and is 
physically smaller in several dimensions than the later 'dash-2' diff case. The 
dash-2 clutch release will not fit nor will later bellhousings because the 
circular part of the early diff case is 1-1/4" smaller in diameter. Some of 
these early ZFs had a unique limited-slip in their differentials that did not 
use clutches but were built along the lines of a 'Detroit Locker' for 
racing.
A great deal of such a transaxle's value lies in whether it actually is a 
Mangusta/GT-40 oriented box or an upside-down 'dash 1-1/2' box for early 
Panteras. In any case, very few internal parts are available for any of these 
early boxes if it's not already in excellent shape. There have been many 
articles on these ZF varients in the POCA Newsletter over the years- the last
