Once upon a time, all-teflon seals only came in 0.500 size. And if you have removeable valve guides-iron or bronze- that are cut to 0.500, do not try driving them out and into the chambers, as is usual practice. The cut ends will break under impact; cut giudes must be driven from the chamber side out the top. FWIW- J Deryke
