[DeTomaso] ZF oil choice?

That stuff is among the best you can get.   I asked Lloyd Butfoy two weeks 
ago for specific recommendations and he said, "Just get something good".   
By that he meant a name-brand such as Valvoline, Castrol etc.   Mobil 1 is a 
step above that.   He said that regular changes (2-3 years tops) is more 
important than one brand versus another.

Cliff--given how you drive your car, and how much you drive it, I'd save 
your money and just go for a 'regular' 80W-90 oil rather than the super-spendy 
Mobil 1.

And yes, you drain it, then fill it through the side plug (unless you're 
lucky enough to have a top plug), until it weeps out the side.   Let it settle 
for a few minutes and top it off; you'll find you have to add a bit to get 
it filled properly, as the oil has to travel through some relatively small 
barriers, and it takes a few minutes to level out from the front half to the 
back half of the gearbox.
