The penetration angle of the series 2 Corvair nose was way-wrong for high 
speeds, with lots of nose-lift. Charlie's mods address that, as well as his 
brakes, transaxle and so forth. IMHO, he'd have been money ahead to start 
with a Pantera.... I got rid of my modified Corvair and my lightweight 914-V8 
when I got serious about driving Judy's Pantera. But thats just me- J DeRyke
