[DeTomaso] Summit Radiator hose

I was wondering if there is any rubber hose collapse on the suction side of the water pump.  With all the resistance to flow, it seems like a rubber hose could partially collapse at high pump speed and add to the flow resistance.

I had a quick look on the Summit webiste, questions/comments I would have are;

Is it more resistant to failure than rubber hose? If yes then it may have application on the more vulnerable underside of a Pantera connecting the cooling tubes, where any additional heat dissipation can also be taken advanatge of.
Don't the flexible hose ridges create a more turbulent flow?

Big negative I see is there doesn't appear to be 1 3/8" adapters to suit Pantera needs.

The best engineered system I have seen on a Pantera was Kevin Hubby's Hall Super Pantera which had threaded fittings on the stainless coolant tubes with threaded end braided hoses attached, but I'm sure it wasn't cheap to do.
