[DeTomaso] oil choice

Jim,

Go to the "Where to Buy" tab at the Brad Penn website and you can search distributors in your area. I happen to have a distributor here in Reno and he matched the online "to my door" price (i.e. price + shipping), IIRC the last case of 12 QTS cost me $67 inc. tax.

This would be a good oil choice-- the 10W-40 might even be better because you'll get better flow at startup.
How much does it cost?
Do you have to get it by mail order?

Jim

Personally I ilke and use the Brad Penn Grade 1 15W-40 weight. All the 'Grade 1' oils have a typical 1,500 ppm Zn and 1340-1400 ppm P, specific analytical results can be found on the Brad Penn web page; www.bradpennracing.com

Also for those who are conscious in their purchasing habits Brad Penn is a 100% USA product (what was Kendall 'Green Oil' from the Kendall Refinery in PA)

Julian,

Can you reference an oil analysis on the specific oil (grade and service) you are talking about, or are you assuming?

Many people might ask whether your cam is roller or flat tappet, personally I
don't take any chances and use exclusively Brad Penn (Kendall) oil which I know
has sufficient zinc and phosphorous.
