I think it's a porta-power..portable hydraulic assist ram...used for pushing
and pulling several tons of pressure..I've seen them used for odd
jobs...frame straightening, bending and distorting heavy items. The tool is
actually very handy sometimes...one of those tools you need when nothing
else will work.

But I agree, the carrying case is wicked cool....if I ran across that in a
garage sale it would be mine. You could make a baby belly tank racer or a
lamp...or just set it in the living room and talk about it!
