That's probably not a bad idea. My shop did the whole panel, but you could
tell when comparing that panel to the rest of the car that something was
different. I think you really do need to paint a whole side, despite the
cost.

Even if you had the code, pearlescent paints are almost impossible to
match. That's why body shops always have to do a panel to panel blend for
these
types of paints. Some of the really good shops insist on doing the whole
side because it is so difficult.
